About Us

Blaustein Hardware is a locally owned hardware store serving NYC’s contractors, property managers, and corporate clients with reliable service, specialty supplies, and expert locksmith services. With decades of experience behind us, our team is known for hands-on knowledge and fast problem-solving—whether it's tracking down hard-to-find materials, cutting custom keys, or filling bulk orders under pressure.

Our story began over 75 years ago on Bleecker Street, where Blaustein Hardware served the neighborhood for generations. After the Blaustein family sold the shop in the 1980s, the new owners continued the tradition of trusted, local service. In 2012, as Bleecker Street transformed into “Fashion Street,” we relocated just around the corner to Greenwich Avenue to stay connected to the community we've long supported.

We’re more than just a supplier—we’re your partner on every project. As an independent hardware store in NYC, we offer personalized service, flexible solutions, and fast deliveries across Manhattan. From commercial hardware needs to on-site rekeying, key duplication, and lock system support, our locksmith team is trusted by property managers and facility teams across the city.

Over the years, we’ve built lasting relationships with contractors, building managers, and commercial clients who count on us for both quality products and expert support. We understand the challenges of working in NYC—tight spaces, strict timelines, and high-demand security needs. Whatever your job site requires, Blaustein Hardware is ready to help you get it done right.
